Rattling Headrest

I have a 1999 V70 T5M. Having owned the car for over 6 years, I've resigned myself to the fact that it's just not a quiet car, with many rattles and squeaks coming from various places inside the car. However, there is one noise which is really bothering me: There is a rattling sound coming from the headrest. It sounds as if the headrest's metal poles are sitting loosely in something plastic or hard-rubber and whenever I go over a bump, the poles rattle in their holes. It used to be that this only happenned during the colder winter months, perhaps because whatever the poles are sitting in would contract from the cold. However, now it's starting to make noises even in 70-degree-Fahrenheit weather. Does anyone else experience this, and more importantly, know how to fix this?

Thanks.

I brought this up several months ago because I was experiencing the same problem. I was planning on talking them off to see what the actual problem is, but I don't know how.

Anyway, I did however solve the problem by using a roll of foam that I raped around the metal poles until the head got nice and tight.

If you want to take them off, here's the way how:

Find the point where the headrest touches the backrest. Move your fingers about 4 inches down, about one inch above the indentation for the rear seat pocket.

Push in (there is a button that is hidden), pull up on the headrest and viola, the headrest should come out.
