just making sure....

wait...yougot 2 names?

ooooooooooooooooo?

hey is this specific to volvo....can i ask some vw people to do it as well in our group buy, or is it only Volvo.  just curious...maybe I can get some more people on here.

I just emailed Oliver w/ a bunch of questions...I asked about the VW thing, it'd be great if we could include them. S40 monster is prolly in if we can get tuning for the S40, and one of my buddies might jump in on it too w/ his S40. Don't hold ur breath tho.

Yeah, I didn't really understand what he meant w/ all this. I'll talk to him tomorrow morning on the phone and try to clear things up.

Did Oliver update you on any of these things? I am in the market for a chip, but I just wanna clear up these discrepencies (sp?) before I give it the green light.

Whether he does a software reflash or solders a new chip in as well as a price on remaps and the process that one must follow when in need of a remap. Also, whether or not he uses a socket.

So did you tell Oliver that you are doing this from VS?

Yeah, but he said I could get people from VP, Turbobricks, SS, wherever. I hafta include their alias and forum w/ the info so he can check to see it's legit.

Hmm... I'm debating whether to get this or the RICA chip.

Unless u're plugging up an 18T or 19T, I'd do this just for the money save. I'm not sure if RICA does free reflashing, but ST does it for sure. And it's $250 vs. ~$800. U could put that leftover $550 towards something else.

So I am I correct in understanding the chip installer would look at the specific vehicle mod list and install the best suited chip for its application. Our vehicle has a couple mods done to it, but our problem is nobody around here does dyno's with A/F's. Since our (SAM) chip was installed we upgraded the turbo to a 19t, would that be considered or would be just get a run of the mill chip same as everybody else? I guess I am asking is it a custom tune chip or just a moded 15g chip. It might be fun to see the difference between the two chips. Yes we have multiple ECU's for our vehicle!
