vinopa30
'99 S70 100kmi NA 5spdAfter accelerating then letting in the clutch (allowing the needle to return to idle position) my idle drops to 500rpm then bounces between 500-1000 for about 30 seconds. Sometimes it actually stalls. It causes a lot of vibration at that low of an RPM and I don't want my engine mounts messed up. '99 S70 = $hitty electroinc throttle body. Could the air mass meter cause such a problem?

To see if it's your maf, start the car up and unplug the MAF, if the idle smoothens out then well, there you go. Bad MAF will usually throw a CEL though.. MrWinkey
Ya' I agree with Greg the whole problem is probably due to a dirty throttle housing.
