Guest oli_boz
hi guys, bought a volvo 1999 s40t se bout a year ago second hand, had a few problems, fuel regulator, spark plugs + pump replaced. Was running good for a while, but, every few days the lambda light and traction light switch on and stay on for a few days, took it to dealer they say its fine. Its using alot more fuel, has lost a lot of power and the oil seems to be burning quickly. Has anyone had similar problems.A friend of mine said to bypass the air flow sensor with a resistor(can't remember ohms) and fuel usage should drop and get increase on power.Anyone else heard of this? Guest oli_boz
thanks, took it to the volvo service centre,as its being really hard to start and its stalled on me twice while turning a corner, the whole car switched off,all fault lights went on. They didn't give me a code just said that the fault is the air flow sensor needs replacing but the fault light is intermittant, guess i'll wait till my 90k service is due in about a month.
