V70-XC Posted September 17, 2005 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 I am experiencing a bad left/front speaker channel. It keeps cutting in and out. I'm pretty convinced (but could be wrong) that it isn't a loose speaker wire because it happens every 5-10 minutes, even when I'm sitting still - no bumpy roads causing it. V70-XC Posted September 18, 2005 Author Report Share Posted September 18, 2005 Okay, so here's where I stand...I got the door pannel off. I only broke the 2 red clips, all the white ones are okay. And yes, it's Sunday and I can't replace them today.I've determined that the speaker does work but no base is coming out, just treble. The wires look okay. I've jiggled them around and still no base (just treble).Problem... I can't remove the speaker. The speaker is attached at 3 points. I removed the metal screw at the bottom of the speaker but can't figure out how to remove the 2 red plastic clips near the top (they look like red plastic screws).
