Zac
96R ~120k - It seems like every month or so I get the same codes. Seems that it's the O2 sensor going down the tube but after a reset it seems to be just fine for a while. Every once and awhile while I'm driving the ECU seems to put the car into a mini-limp home mode restricting the car to what feels like < 5 psi. If I continue to drive like that for awhile it'll finally throw codes (P0422 and P0133.) Unplugging the battery for awhile and plugging it back in brings the car back to normal boost and performance. Just clearing the codes using the ODB scantool does nothing to the no boost problem but (of course) clears the light. Seems the 422 says the cat isn't happy while the 0133 seems to be the real problem (front O2 sensor going bad?) My question is why will it drive just fine? Is this a guarantee that it'll go bad soon...it's been going through this stupid cycle about 3 times now over the past few months just because I didn't have the cash to even look into the problem. T5BRICK
your front and rear O2 sensors may be going out. i guess the P0133 could be caused by your car running too rich. this will eventually destroy your cat.i've been getting P0133s and i'm planning on doing the front O2 sensor soon. Zac
With the boost basically off would the engine still be sending the same amount of gas (including when at wot) as it would usually with boost? Figure if so it'd be causing it to run rich and causing those codes?
