NaturalMystic79
Ya, but it's still an NA! LOL! Yeah, he's gotta say "he owns us all!" in all of his threads just to make himself feel better.
jb7073
I have to admit, I've always wanted one of those. Imagine, 10 MP3 disks at your finger tips. What's that, about 120 albums?Anyway, this stupid installation took 8 freakin hours! But it's finally done, and it sounds good. The wifes happy, and now she owes me. Can't beat that.Rundown of what went wrong: - Original stereo wouldn't come out. Had to remove side panel, center console, and drivers side need bolster. Plus there was tons of crap was under the console from the previous owner. - Factory stereo had an external amp. I had to make sure the wires would run over there and match correctly. - Next I had to remove the aftermarket alarm that has never worked. Even before I bought the car. - Soldered all the wires on the wiring harness. - Had a hell of a time getting the new bracket back in the car. - Stereo had 6 speakers so I wired the 4 in the front, in series for each side. Well guess what. There apparently is a crossover on the dash speaker. So I had to go back and re-wire the front speakers to just split off. - Put everything back together and found that I had lost 2 of the bolts. And they're nowhere to be found. - And both flashlights ran out of batteries halfway through the install.Sheesh. I've done over 5 HU installs before, but this one took the cake. Glad I'm not doing mine now

jb7073
Is that the Kenwood MP4030? Nice big double din in either case.
Che'_Moderator
Yeah its the 4030. Not the greatest but dirt cheap and installs in under 5 minutes, and only that long if you drop a bolt into the dash. I like it though. Sounds good and I can change the color of the buttons to match my radar detector below it. Gotta match ;)
