Latest Saga On The Intake Manifold Install - Question!

I THINK I FOUND IT....

OK - I replaced the O ring gasket on the vacuum tree...

I tefloned the manifold nipples...

I replaced the O rings and caps on the injectors....

Still same problem BUT.... runs a bit smoother although when started it races and holds up to 4K.

So, I start rethinking the TB... stuck? I checked. Then I start thinking about the TB gasket... happen to have a spare. So I pull the TB and prep the surface on both. Then I'm about to bolt up again AND... I hear something loose in the throttle position sensor on the side of the TB. So I remove that and sure enough... the Bosch unit has something rattling around in there like a loose piece.

IT MIGHT BE... that something inside the sensor got broke and thus thinking the TB is WO or other. That would give me the racing to 4k and then bad idle, etc. NO?

I have a new Bosch part 0280122001 being overnighted from FCP Groton and hope this is the fix.

Does any of this sound logical???

So much fun and not enough time!!!

Will try the "hose" and starter fluid approach. Thanks.

Let's see.... Hot engine + electrical arcing from starter and alternator + Starter Fluid = INFERNO!!!

You will certainly need plenty of time for telling that story to the Fire Marshall and the ambulance driver if your lucky enough!!!

C'mon guys, let's use our heads!!!

I do it all the time. I have managed not to die. Key is don't let vapor build up. I usually just turn my ac on or force the radiator fan.
