"directional" Tires

Directional tires can only rotated front to back, not side to side or diagonally. But I can see someone getting confused - "let's see, when I flip this wheel around does the tread look the same? Yes - wait - no - wait, yes or maybe no...." There have no doubt been times when someone did not change sides when they should, or chaged sides when they shouldn't. Do directional tires have that stamped anywhere on the sidewall? I thought I read somewhere there is an arrow on the sidewall. If so, is it a big obvious arrow or a little bitty one you need to look for?

Sure, there's usually an arrow ... my Pilot Sports and Eagle F1's have them.

All directionals have arrows pointing to the correct rotation direction.

I have seen an SUV with directional tires on that were on backwards. Not sure what genious mounted the wheels, but most likely not the owner of the vehicle since most would have a hard time changing a wheel anyway. :)
