SH8KDWN
Offroad practicality? Maybe I'm out of touch since I sold my Wrangler but 20" rims and lower profile sidewalls? Usually not a good thing if you are going to take it anywhere with rocks, mud, or slippery surfaces. I'd like to see more sidewall for traction and rim protection. As a concept vehicle it looks great. Nice job pushing the envelope.
ifnt420
I like it as well. It looks like that one XC which was raised really high that I have seen before. The only thing I remember about that one was that it had Autodesk as a sponsor. You are thinking about the Inventor Racing Team Paris-Dakar XC70. Offroad practicality? I'd like to see more sidewall for traction and rim protection.According to IPD the XC has 32" tires on Dubs, that makes the sidewalls 6" tall!!! I'd say it's got tons of protection.
JCviggen
? overall torque is still achieved at under 2000 rpm, it shouldnt matter.Where did you see that? I know Johann's 400+ HP GT30 engine was pretty dead below 3k all things considered. And you really dont need top-end power for offroading, and it doesnt look like the car was made for straight line speed either
gr8gatzby
love it. methinks it would be wise for Volvo to copy the concept and create teh XC70 Extreme Edition

96DTM850
Where's Lara Croft??? Looks like something she would drive. I've actually read reviews from European Car mag, I think it was like 2 issues ago where they reviewed the XC70 and it did pretty well. But then again, a modded one with big turbo or something, not that great for "cross-country"....better keep it to the track. :P

steve s
serious low-end torque u need diesels, electric engines, and/or displacement...maybe it'd do well in off-road other than rock climbing..
JCviggen
The intercooler is also waiting to be murdered by the first trunk/rock it passes by the way.
