tallahasseegreys
Maybe get a 4 channel amp. Run your 4 door speakers on one side (2 of the 4 channels) and your 2 subs on the other side (the remaining). Get an amp that has a built in crossover with hi and lo pass controls. That way your door speakers wont be trying to pump bass and your subs won't be trying to reproduce the sound of a high hat.

Chris_R
My system sounds AMAZINGLY better after just swapping head units (aftermarket Pineer for more power/features) and adding a sub (10" Infinity Kappa Perfect and a 300 Watt Pioneer amp). I have plenty more equipment to install but I'm not unhappy enough to sweat it right now. Start with the subs and amp and see what you think. -Chris
styx0r
I 2nd the headunit upgrade. The volvo headunit is of poor sound quality. A new headunit is highly reccomended. You can use that to cross over your speakers / sub if you want.
Noahkk19
Let us know what kind of subs they are. Maybe we can do a tech day and build you a box. You'd have to supply the supplies and all the cold Diet Coke I can drink. I have the tools and the skills. -Chrishaha, I may have to actually take you up on a install day at the least? I don't trust myself with all the wiring and getting things done right
Chris_R
How about I coach you through the install? I'll help of course, and can supply the tools. That way you know what goes where in case something comes loose. -Chris

Noahkk19
what u think?I'm not backin down 'pimpininavolvo',But I do wonder, do you guys think somthin like this would be low quality? I have a friend with a similar box to that in his Civic si, and I thought it sounded darn good, except he had 10's...
Veneficus
I've heard audiobahn flame q's before and they sound alright. I'm personally not a big fan of them but that seems to be a fairly reasonable price... The only thing is you don't really know the specs on the box like width of the boxes pannels, etc. If I were you, I'd buy my own so that you know what is going into the making of the box itself... Just my $0.02. ---Brian
Noahkk19
Thanks,Do you guys know if there is ANY Volvo headunit that will fit my 850 that is also a improvement over the SC-811. ?
Chris_R
I'm not a big fan of bandpass boxes. Too many companies/people don't make them right. With the built-in crossover function of a bandpass box you can't hear the distortion as the sub beats itself to death. They are blingin though! -Chris
Veneficus
I saw some a circut city the other day when I went to get my pocket. It sounded ok but I'm still for building your own box... ---Brian
T-5Bandit
Thanks,Do you guys know if there is ANY Volvo headunit that will fit my 850 that is also a improvement over the SC-811. ?No OEM Volvo headunit is going to give you any great sound quality to run a decent sound system. You need to the higher RCA voltage outputs from a decent aftermarket headunit to run the amps with a clean signal.
