Asinine
I may have located a car to replace my deer-stroyed '94 850 Turbo, but as you can assume, the ride i'm considering is in Texas. So, if any fellow VS'er in the northern part of the state would like to test drive a car, please e-mail me, PM me, or SMS me (5197168351).I need a new ride this week, and have some conversations started with folks local to me, but the vehicle i want checked out is EXACTLY what i'm looking for.Any help would be fantastic. I just want a report of a drive, more than anything else!e-mail me or call me if you can help!patrick.mcmahon@rogers.com519-716-8351Thanks! WhiteT5
I'm drivin' out to check the car out for our friendly neighbor to the north . It's in Corinth. We drove past that town on our way to the track during the meet. I don't know if I'm allowed to spill the beans about the car yet, but I can tell you that it is very nice from what I've seen of it in pictures and descriptions. Asinine
Many thanks to Sean for making the trek on such short notice.Tomorrow (Monday) is decision day for me. My dad is laying a serious guilt trip on me trying to scare me out of the purchase, but it's exactly what i want, and from what Sean told me and i've discovered from the owner i would be very happy with it.His concern is that brining it into Canada will require a lot of money and time to be licensed. I spoke with the head mechanic of the local stealership - in the context of being a friend not as a rep for the stealership - and he assured me very little needs to be done to make them compatible from the US to Canada, and if something needs to be done it's inexpensive. The mechanic refered me to a guy who makes his living importing cars so i'll call him tomorrow to see what the customs run down is.Would this be the first VS Inter-Country purchase? Asinine
I'd really love to. I really want the car in question - link in For Sale, but the import costs here in Canada are just INSANE, so it's a no deal.Which, REALLY pisses me off, that would have been quite the adventure!Patrick
