they are the one unit ballasts right? the newer kind?

not the two part one (i can't remember what it's called, but it has an igniter and a ballast seperately)

nope, two part ballast & igniter wired together but still as separate units.

how does the bixenon kit work. it uses two bulbs and switches just like the halogen system, right? one 35w lowbeam hid bulb and one 50w highbeam hid bulb?

or does it tilt one bulb for whatever reason.

Single bulb with a butterfly flap. - look in the first post and you will see a picture of the bulb with flap attached. The cheaper upgrade with the halogen bulb makes the halogen turn on when you hit the flasher. I would highly suggest the bixenon even though it is more money.

50/55w xenons should be coming out in the next generations of OEM HIDs that manufacturers install... also the projector lenses are going to get BIG, but to obtain them will be madd chee$e.

Do you drive a volvo? if you do, there are two seperate bulb sets, one for lows and one for highs... One of these kits would replace your lows. It would take a second kit to replace your highs. And luxury type cars use something similar to the 5400K kit and the 7000K, BUT, the ones with projectors may seem like they are purple or rainbow colored and that is due to the projector lens breaking up the light as it passes through.

Gosh, its late and Im studying, I hope that made sense

I plan on getting a kit for my Lincoln LS. The only problem is I'm torn between the 5400 and the 7000. All I'm interested in is better lighting and the HID look.

Also on my LS there are two separate bulbs for the hi and low. If I get the Hi/low bulbs together as 1 buld will they work with my exsisting highs???? Hope it made sense.

If you have seperate bulbs, I would do it that way, I wouldn't try to put duals into a housing for a single. What size bulb does your lincoln take anways? I can't get bixenon for all bulb sizes.

I may be interested in a set of 7000K's. I'll need a bit of time to think about it first.

Well, if you want in on this GB, you have till Thanksgiving :-)

I want a set of bi-xenon 7000Ks, but I don't want to wait on the group buy. YGPM.

Your S70 requires one bulb for highs and a separate one for lows. PM sending...

save your money for a complete stage 0 of your C70

If he wants immediate results, this isn't a bad start - especially since he's in Canada and going into the winter! Lights will be on most of the time. :-)

Do Euro-spec 850's have 9006 bulb fitment for the low beams just like the US-spec ones? or is it a different fitment?

I believe it is different. I think they used H1 bulbs, but I am not 100% sure.
