Modus
I can't even count the many times I have repaired this thing.any one else have this problem of scrapping low parking curbs and slowly ripping the under guard from it's resting place. Not to mention jarring the fog light to breaking. SIGH!!! Seems like the spoon will scoop more air into the intercooler. but cosmetically.. it's horrible. Add more to the list of things to fix. exexpat
I wish I could come within a foot of a curb. Just get rid of that thing, you won't need additional cooling in NY.
mikie
Seems strange that your splash guard gets caught on curbs and not your bumper as well. Do you scratch the underneat of your bumper? My splash guard and bumper are pretty much leveled. You said you fixed it before, are you still using those 2 original screws that hole the splash guard up? Cause if you have something smaller it's probably saging a bit too much.
Modus
Well i ripped that thing off before, the plasic ears that that bolt to the upper sides are plasic welded back together, maybe the guard has been distorted due to the breakage. yes my bumber underneath is chewedthe plasic tabs in the front are broken off and i don't think it will stay on, i'll have to decide to take that thing off. the underlørd
just look into getting another one from volvo.. I didn't have one on my S70... I kept a good eye on the underside of the car, didn't notice anything too major, besides a few extra rock chips..
