the underlørd
I FINALLY got around to installing my amp and sub.. (JL W3D4 - JL 500/1) All works fine, thump city.. cept for one lil detail.. when i turn on the car, it takes the amp about 20 seconds to kick in... and when I turn the car off, it takes the same time to turn off, and when I do, the sub will hit real loud, and then finally turn off..what am I missing? Shitty Remote turn on connection?
AnthonyR
What are you using for remote turnon? And what head unit are you using?

exexpat
Find another lead to test the remote turn-on to the amp. It's either the HU output or the amp input. If your HU is bad, find something else to switch it with, like an accessory lead.
AnthonyR
Yeah, to test the amp, take a short piece of wire and just touch the battery cable and jumper it to the remote turn on lead and see what happens, if it still has the delay, it's your amp. the underlørd
it was the input sensing, and a remote power wire that wasn't making contact with the terminal on the amp.. hit the switch, and repositioned the remote wire = in bidness.
