Poor guy i know I've been driving him nuts but I can say he's the best parts guy I have ever dealt with bar none.

RAzOR
Super Nice CJ. Man that build looks like fun.I have a thought.Looking at your excellent pictures, it appears rather simple to drop the entire subframe to change the tranny.I would love to change my tranny and get at some stuff on my engine to mod it but its really tight in the engine bay.It looks like (to drop the subframe)1. Axles out of spindle2. A-Arms to spindle3. Sway bar and steering linkage to spindle4. Radiator, heater, tank, tranny, HVAC hoses come off.5. Wiring harness connectors at certain key points6. Trans linkage7. Steering column to gear assembly8. Downpipe9. Misc groundsThat doesn't sound so bad when one wants to change a trans, replace a steering module, upgrade a turbo, and fix a PCV. Guest 300+_T5R_855
Now that I have done it this way I would never go back. It was so simple in so many respects. You can virtually build the entire setup outside of the car and then lift it up into the engine bay hook up the plumbing, wiring, axles, brakes and wheels and off you go. It sounds like a lot, but it goes very quickly.
