Guest 300+_T5R_855
The engine is about ready to come out of the stand. Then I can install the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. Then mate it up with the transmission and get it in the subframe. I can taste it.

Johann
If you coat so much why not ceramic coat the manifold and turbine housing?
narxs70
can you do that with a powdercoat system?
Guest 300+_T5R_855
I will likely once I get the later exhaust manifold. This manifold is starting to show some cracks on the inside and I didn't want to waste my money. It is a ceramic baked spray paint... :)

Guest 300+_T5R_855
I am actually thinking about making up a stainless exhaust manifold. I have been thinking about it for a while and now I have the parts to mock it up on the bench. Not sure on the silicone hoses yet. I want to get it in and see how it runs first. Then worry about that kinda stuff.Yeah, Dave is at Reliance in San Leandro now.

Guest 300+_T5R_855
A sachs clutch and pressure plate. What is available? Do they make a "Velvet Touch" for the 850? I would like to get an aftermarket, but for right now I am going to go with the stocker. I have never been really hard on clutches. We'll see how it works. The tranny is an M56. It's not the ideal one, but again I have never been hard on transmissions or clutches. Hopefully that won't suddenly change. It is out of the stand and I have changed the rear main seal. I need to pick up a pilot bearing in the morning. I am about to remove a broken bolt in the flywheel and mount it tonite. If I get that far and still have enough ummph I will start on the inside of the car. I need to swap ou the pedals and the shifter and I am replacing the heater core while I am at it since it needs one. Thanks to all those who are following along. It has been fun.
