17" Bright Silver Pegs

Recommended Posts

THESE ARE SOLD!!!!

I have 4 17" bright silver OEM Pegasus rims mounted with Kumho 215/40/17.I bought the rims from my local dealer in 12/04,they sat in the boxes until I mounted them with the new Kumhos in July of this year, and installed them on my car.The rims are flawless, and the tires have about 3,000 miles on them with no signs of wear at all.I paid $707.36 with tax after the rebate for the rims, and for the tires $554.94 with tax, mounted and balanced, new valve stems with a road hazard warranty.

Just looking to see what the interest is and at what price. The road hazard would help someone in this area, because the tire place never saw my car,I did a cash and carry,so you can scam them with the road hazard on the car you would be putting them on.And local pickup would save shipping.I'm not going to take a brutal beating on these, but I realize as new as they are, they are used, although barely.

Bottom line is I have a warranty on the car for another 2 years, and to make these tires look really good on the car I need to lower it and that doesn't make sense with the warranty. So I'm looking at 18" Pegs to fill up my wheel well gap.Since I am going to an 18" rim,I really am not willing to seperate the tires and rims.

By the way, against popular belief, the 215's do not looked stretched on an 8" wide rim.As a matter of fact they look great and handle like a bear.Pictures are available if you give me your email address.

Rob

by the way,I also have a spare rim that is also a 17"Peg that has some pretty heavy curb rash, but is not bent, that I picked up as a spare.I planned on reconditioning it,and even bought the OEM Volvo bright silver rim paint and clear coat in the spray can.I will include that in the sale for a nominal fee.

No Josh.I haven't found a C yet,but even if I do I'll take the 18' Pegs with me for the C.

Not sure how much shipping would be to Canada, but I could find out if your price is right.Make me an offer plus shipping.

Kevin, you are the all knowing. How the hell did you know I was looking back with a search for 18' Pegs that were sold over the last year? You are omnipotent dude!

What does lowering have to do with warranty?

Sticky's car has been dropped on coils for a while - never a warranty issue. Now offically the track car for the Power Irvine Service Dept.

Good luck on the sale. I've seen 205s on 8 inch wide wheels. They barely looked stretched 215 should look alright.

I guess I kinda feel like if something goes bad, like struts, shocks, strut mounts.spring seats, that it will be replaced for free for the next 2 years. The car is 7 years old with 71k on it,I can see it happening. But if I pay for new stuff to lower the car, then I am wasting my warranty that I paid for. Plus I am on the prowl for a 98 C70.And the warranty is transferrable to the next owner of my car.It all makes sense in my twisted thoughts.
