Possilbe Maf Fault :(

My mechanic and i replaced a vaccuum hose that was causing a CEL, but when we read/erased the codes there were two that seemed to be in line with the problem we were going to fix, as well as an MAF fault.

The car was CEL free and wicked fast for a few days until Saturday morning on my way into work when the CEL came on. It'll be a couple of days till i can get a Volvo OBD-II reader. In the mean time are there any symptoms i can see/feel that would indicate the severity of the problem.

If it is the MAF, is it ever a tweak or is it always a replace,
