JDELUNA Posted May 9, 2004 Report Share Posted May 9, 2004 I have 2 out of the 4 door lock acuators on my car that are bad, they either do not lock or unlock, etc. I know that they cost about $110 each from Volvo , my question is: Is it possible to replace them with regular aftermarket actuators that you can get like from a stereo shop, etc. that look like a pistol or other type ??? I know the ones from the stereo shops are much cheaper like $25 or so, I wonder if it is possible to use the same wiring, etc. just mount the new actuators so that they lock and unlock ?? has anyone done this ??
