prasamin
I don't wanna get flamed here, but I have noticed a "small" increase in power with my EST intake no you didn't Team EST. Should we put a vendor tag next to your name yet?
viperman135
click on my sig to see what I did. The project is not yet done still have some sealing to do. It most likely does very little. But it looks kinda cool and people at car shows are what is that. :P
Volvoson
no you didn't Team EST. Should we put a vendor tag next to your name yet?No, I don't want a Vendor tag, I'm a mod But really, I seem to be boosting more, maybe that cooler air is helping? :D
InlineTurbo
I can't remember the numbers exactly, but I picked up 1-1.5 psi in some areas after putting the EST Intake in. Previously I had a K&N Drop in filter. So I would consider that some improvement. Nothing huge, but gettin an extra psi or two for a few hunder rpm helps. If anything you would be losing pressure with an open air filter.
Volvoson
wait, what? If anything you would be losing pressure with an open air filter.See, I don't see your logic...With an open air filter, more air can be FORCED in under boost where it was restricted before with the factory setup...I honestly did gain about 1.5-2psi, I can hold 14psi now, with spikes as high as 16-17psi if I just floor it from a roll (keep in mind that I have an iPd ECU, it's limit is set at 14.5psi or something). tendency
No one makes an airbox that performs better than stock. It'd be for looks and sound only imo (which is fine).buit into the turbo. Thats why Plus you need to keep it in the metered air stream anyways, ask 98brick about that.Has anyone actually dyno'ed their cars using the stock and cold air intakes before they make these claims? I'd like to see some real numbers.
