Guest DougK
credit cards are just about the stupidest things you younger guys could ever get yourselves into..pay for things with money that you HAVE.. not money that "you're hoping to have."Couldn't agree more. I finally paid and closed one that I haven't used in 2 years. Felt pretty nice. Now the car spending can start up again :D
550
I agree with mrmandmmanIt's not that hard to do, just vow to pay it off. Now... if you get in debt in it, hold your breath and sink, because you could very well be monkeyed :)

Asinine
I think it's a reasonable tangent to the original thread topic.I really 'shouldn't' be buying products i don't need without cash, however, the opportunity to have these things upgraded and then sell my working stock parts to my dad for my old wreck is one i don't want to pass up.Plus, if i consider this on a longer term cash flow then there is no problem, just that the past 2.5 and comming 1.5 months are 'student income' months.. i.e. only about $1200 a month net!? Ivanfbi
hmm, i don't even have a credit card...never needed to spend a lot of money, biggest thing i bought was my car, that finally cost me around 2K.

StickThatClutch
See you get tricked. Stupid cars depreciate so much they are cheaper than Civics on the open market. Something breaks the danged thing cost 20% of your purchase price to fix.Better than paying the price of first ownership depreciation I guess. Sticky always rolls with e-cash.
