Plan_B
I'd rather have a GS or a G35That's to much for such a small car.
dragon17
That's almost 25% of the base price.
RBoy8
Jeez... just think of how many 850 T5-R/R/Turbos you could buy to equal the price of the IS with the luxury package. What is the Volvo equivalent to the IS 350?

The Stig
I love how they don't even give you wheel locks with the Luxury Package. You have to add them as a separate package.Actually, I really like the new IS350. The interior looks amazing, and the comfort.. wow. I sat in one at a dealership and really liked it. I don't mind the tack they're taking vs. BMW. BMWs are still dynamically superior, but what the IS lacks in performance (and the gap isn't even that large), it definitely makes up in refinement. RBoy8
there isn't..the IS 350 is RWDAhhh... true, but what I meant by equivalent was in size and power .
StickThatClutch
Sticky's been looking at the GS430. The top-end package is about the same cost. You do get a lot for your money though.
UberV70
hmmmmmm seems like your paying an extra $9000 for 18inch rims and HID's. By the sound of the other stuff it would seem that the base package is made out of cardboard

By the sound of the other stuff it would seem that the base package is made out of cardboardIf you look at Mercedes they charge you more than that amount if you were to add COMAND, ventilated seats, premium sound, light package and an AMG package. I think its pretty resonable compared to other makes. Its just they don't usually offer that many options on their entry level models because people aren't as likely to go for the gusto for lower end luxury cars. The likeliness of Mr. Clutchy buying a Lexus is very low. At this point in time he has too many horseless carriages to take care of. Though the thought of a new vehicle to serve as valet fodder is tempting.
550
I think the styling of the new IS is garbage the old is 300's were nice though (altezza style) WIth a turbo I would gladly take one... RWD, stick, fast :)
