StickThatClutch
I think the styling of the new IS is garbage the old is 300's were nice though (altezza style) WIth a turbo I would gladly take one... RWD, stick, fast What you need is an Altezza. 3SGTE!

Gregg
Here is a much better choice if you ask me. and what makes it a better choice? besides having less power, no RWD, and less features & creature comforts, yet a higher price tag?
R4Life
and what makes it a better choice? besides having less power, no RWD, and less features & creature comforts, yet a higher price tag? Nothing. Car looks good on paper. I've passed on it twice.

matt1122
Jeez... just think of how many 850 T5-R/R/Turbos you could buy to equal the price of the IS with the luxury package. What is the Volvo equivalent to the IS 350?Except the IS is vastly superior to an 850. The S40 would probably be the competitor for the IS from Volvo, though I haven't examined Lexus's size changes for the new IS exactly, but for the base 350 you'd be comparing an S40 T5 AWD GT w/ leather seating surfaces and the premium and audio packages which comes to only $33,375 and includes memory for the drivers seat. Totally loaded to match the Lexus's equipment you are looking at only $39,677 - a LOT less than a loaded IS 350. It doesn't perform as well as the IS at all though, nor do I like it's style or much or is it as luxurious after being fully loaded. Volvo specializes in deals though, usually, not in being the absolute best. Also, this is interesting - for me I'm seeing packages similar to that but not identical for at least $500 less. Try Zip Code 17405 when you build that same car.All that said, it might be worth it to me, because the IS350 is a GREAT car.
fastboy
you can turn off traction control and get rid of yaw control with just one fuse.... it is fast, feels faster than the gs430.... nice car, but I'm not a fan of the L-finese styling... but somebody must be. maiku
go S60R AWD!i wouldn't mind lexuspretty nice carsbut for the price, i'd go S60R, or at least S60T5 AWD (do they even make that?)
matt1122
but for the price, i'd go S60R, or at least S60T5 AWD (do they even make that?)No, but the R's AWD horsepower is almost completely drawn up by the AWD system it seems, so unless you're going from a standstill and drag racing I've found they feel pretty similar. <_<
