It'd be easier to take weight off the OEM one. Plus, from what EricF has read in the motronic manual, the ECU limits how quickly the motor will rev down anyways.i've actually noticed that. I tore my motor apart and really found no major wear on my motor main bearings/rod bearings, just varnish deposits as you will see in the pictures below. I had the UR pulley for about 10K on the car when I threw a rod.Keep in mind that I drove 42 miles to get home without knowing I had bent a rod.
