VAVolvo
I was thinking about hooking Megasquirt up to my 850 but I'm not sure if it is the right thing to do. Has anyone used Megaquirt on a 850? Or is the stock ECU better? Thanks!
JHEIII874T5M
Well... the stock ECU most certainly isn't "better". Megasquirt could work, however there has not been much use on the Motronic 4.3+ Platform
EOBD
Megasquirt works on an '850'. Years ago I hooked up the 'MK1' megasquirt to my T5 to run the fuel. Done more as way of experiment to see if it would work, which it did. Sold the car so did not progress it further.
Guest DougK
Theres no way atm to control spark. The learning curve on EMS is ALOT higher, as long as you know this going in, you'll be fine. Remeber, you'll have to tune:cold startsaccel valuesdecel valuescruiseWOTect ect ect

Getting into the realms of HOW EMS works is a very technical, complex and generally frustrating subject matter. There is more to this than simply bolting on and away you go.
