akskibum82
Hey all,I purchased a Perma Cap from IPD a little over a year ago and just recently filled up an noticed that the trap door failed to close after the gas nossel was removed. I took the tap off and looked on the back and found that the spring that closes the hatch had corroded and the majority of the spring had fallen into my gas tank. I havent experienced any probs yet but this is a warning to you all. Be sure to check your spring and if this is a huge problem we need to contact the company. later dudes, Reid

VOLVO S70
i've got a permacap laying around somewhere. i took it off, as it set off the service light if i remember correctly. i was gonna look for it and re install it, but i might not anymore after the info you got. right on for the heads up
yangotang
I think it makes sense that the spring corroded. When I saw that design, I kind of expected it to happen because I was led to think that the fumes of gasoline would cause rust.
