So teach me about hids and projector conversion. I'm leaning towards something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-91-CIVIC...013902452QQrdZ1

And taking the backside out and putting it behind my lenses. Two things I'm conerned about: first, is the "slant" too much... rather, will the outer lights have to set back too far to get the lgihts point straight? Is there a better way somehow? And how would I go about polishing the glass clear? Exexpat--sounds liek you did this?

just do it and take pics of every step. if you lose or way or have a ? that is where the Underlord or anyone else, but me can give you advice on what to do next.

if you are scared to do it on the headlights in the car, buy a second set and take your time and do it right. then, when you're done just replace the lights in the car, with the pair you made. sell the stock lights to pay for the pair you purchased.

my .02 pennies

Let Papa Projector field this one Kev; he does have a legitiment question. First, you will want to look here:

The main thing is to find out if they make plastic lenses for V90, they might not. The process will be roughly the same for you. Again, use expanding foam to avoid duct tape ridicule. Also, the pitch that the lights need to be for aiming doesn't look outside the norm when installed, that said the gap between the outer edge and lens is about an inch, and < 1/4 inch on the insides. But ask anyone who has seen my, Doug's or Dan's lights in person, they appear to look within factory aiming gap tolerances. I doubt the angle on the V90 headlight is much different from 850, if anything they are more convexed on your car.

Good luck, it will be hot. And yes get a spare set of lights to experiment with, I didn't, but I'm a risk-taker.

awesome work--i have no idea why I didn't find that thread when I serached earlier :( Pretty much confirms what I expected...

If I can't find plastic lenses, whats the best way to deflute the glass? What sandpapers, and what polishing compounds?

edit:// and thanks for the reply :)

Glass is possible, but tedious. Boomin850 tried didn't have the heart to continue through the end ;). You start literally with 60 grit until the ribs are gone right in front of the projector and then work your way up to 2000. Novus 123 glass polish or a light coat of high temp clear will get the final bits of haze out. Glass polish is better though. Expect to spend something like 10 hours per lens with manual sanding. I hope you aren't married :) Good luck.
