wattsat
Have you tried sealing your Infinity's? I believe that crutchfield or some audio stores sell a Foam Basket for midbass drivers that will essentially create a sealed enclosure. That may help. Chris_R
Infinity speakers are notoriously power-hungry. Maybe try your amp on them first? Maybe they'll have the bass you're lacking?-Chris
850 Stylzz
Infinity speakers are notoriously power-hungry. Maybe try your amp on them first? Maybe they'll have the bass you're lacking?-Chrisok, so I tried setting the gain on my amp a little higher last night. It seems to have helped a bit, but now I am almost maxed out on it, so I dont think I'll be able to really crank it without distorting. In hindsight, I maybe should have bought a larger amp. Still will definitely persue a supplemental bass option. Im now thinking about trying a pair of bass shakers in addition to a small powered sub. With my HU's amp now idle, (all speakers are running off my external amp) that could free up a little power to run the shakers.Does anyone know about the effectiveness/dangers of bridging a HU amp? Figawi
I was thinking of something like this (except I'd bring it up kinda flush with the stock center console and fire the woofer down for protection/stealth/box design):See the thread here:http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?s...=2413&hl=tacoma-Chrischris,what size is that sub do you think? Chris_R
Bridging isn't actually possible with head unit amps... Not in the usual way. You can run the positive leads from the HU to the + & - inputs from the speaker (it was a way of deriving a sort-of center channel with both L& R channel info), but you won't get the double power you're looking for. I would just run the shakers off a channel of the deck (per side). Odds are it'll add what you're looking for.-Chris
Chris_R
I believe it is a SoloBaric L5 8". -Chris
