Guest Thinkdifferent
Hi, back here with a new car... it's a '96 850SE (English), a saloon (sedan). I bought it yesterday, and I need to get it's MOT (government safety) test done. It would fail today because its horn doesn't work. There is a problem with the alarm, so this has been disabled by removing the fuse, which also takes out the central locking. If I put the fuse back in, I can lock and unlock the doors with the central locking, but if I open the doors the alarm goes off. It stops after 30 seconds or so, with the lights still blinking, and the car will not start until I take the fuse out again...This would be an annoyance if it weren't for the fact my car can't be insured without an MOT test pass, for which it needs the horn to work. Are these things all related, has anyone had anything similar in an 850?????Thanks for any experience...Alex
