8G5L0T
Is it hard to instal an amp, sub and wire them? I am worried i am going to run into problems once i get everything. Is this a good amp kit that will have everything i need. Crutchfield has a video on how to install an amp and stuff right? Amp and subs.
Bing_0
that amp kit will be fine, along with every other decnet amp kit you can buy anywhere now as for whether or not its hard, it depends if you are the following:1. pretty good with your hands, meaning know how to use tools, basic common sense when working on a car2. patient and wont go off and rage when you hit an obstacle or someting is not working right3. can read and follow instructions well versus just going at it blindly trying to get it doneif you are all three, then you will find that volvos are one of the easier cars to do an amp and sub in. taking all the care and precautions, i can wire up an amp and sub in a volvo in about 20 mins if i went at everyhting full pace. but for a first timer, start early in the day a nice warm bright day, and literally give yourself the full day to work onit, dont rush and it will be fine ther eis a tutorial pinned above in the topic above, check it and see. b
maiku
make sure you PLAN everything before you start wiring and cuttingyou'll run into a few snags if it's your first timebut in the end it's worth it
Ivanfbi
its pretty easy. The first time i did it, i forgot to take out the fuse and touched bare metal with power cable, burned fuse, but after that everything was easy
crazykn
I thought it was quite easy my first time. The only HARD part was getting the power cable from the engine bay to the passenger compartment, other than that it was quite easy (and do not hook up the battery until all the wiring is in and everything is attached). The only bad thing about my install, is that there is a wiring mess in my trunk now, but that soon is going to be cleaned up . Secondly I didn't buy a amp kit and bought everything individually (hand-picked of course), but was quite mad when I found a amp kit that had virtually everything I had, but a fraction of the price (all cables in my system are all Monster Cable). nagrod18
http://project850.volvospeed.com/installgu.../subinstall.htmFollow that tutorial like it is your bible, I did and the install went easier than I could have ever dreamed. The only other recomondation I would give is to drill a hole in this plate where the clutch petal is supposed to go, to bring your power wire through. And don't forget to use a grommet.
