It was not a catastrofic leak, just a small one that kept growing on the passenger side where the metal connects to the plastic, near the upper pipe. I replaced it myself with a nissens unit from FCP. Not a difficult job but requires some patience. In the process I also replaced the two rubber hoses, flushed the engine cooling system with a garden hose and filled up with a50/50 mixture of distilled water and volvo coolant. From what I read on the posts as far as radiator life is concerned, we both did pretty good. Oh, by the way, I also replaced the thermostat for good measure.Luis
PR850TURBO
I replaced my one this past weekend. I have a crack in the passenger side tank. But I believe it was because the coolant fan was not coming on (relay?). I'm checking the fan relay, because they still not coming on. I dont' want to crack the new one. by the way I added an additional "Trans. Oil cooler" while in there. Check the cooling fan, thermostac and sensor while you're in there. Good luck!Vick

PullMyFinger
I ordered mine here:http://www.discount-auto-parts-store.com/a...tors-p2099.html$285 plus shipping. My radiator cracked and started leaking on the passenger side upper pipe joint also. Its not that difficult of a job to do but it certainly is a pain and takes a few hours.

tmark
You could also try FCP Groton. I purchased one for my 96 850 T for $205.00 plus shipping in September '05 (Nissens brand). Not sure how much shipping was as I ordered other parts with it. If your car is an automatic, you may want to also order the o-rings and seals (not sure of proper word at the moment) that go around the A/T lines where it connects to the trans cooler. Also, if yours is an A/T, you may want one extra clip that secures the A/T line to the trans cooler in the radiator as I broke one of the clips taking the line off. My .02 cents.Enjoy.
