FINN Posted May 14, 2004 Report Share Posted May 14, 2004 Well since i cant figure out why my right side speakers are out, im going to fix that my way. I am going to put in my old pioneer hu and run all new speaker wire to all of the speakers. Its the only fix that i can think of.How should i go about splitting the wires so that every speaker gets enough resistance and not too much for the headunit. I was talking such rubbish of replacing the wires for my doors just so that I could get the best clarity, but getting the wires to get from the main car chassis to across to the door is a real BIATCH. I ended up just splicing everything from behind the head unit. I ran RCA's to the amp, then the 4 chans to the cross overs, then from the crossovers I ran them to the wiring kit that I bought from best buy. If you still decide to completely re-wire the door, good luck my friend. TAKE PICTURES of all connectors etc. Rewiring to the rear deck will be the easiest by far. I would say you should just install the HU and put on the wiring kit and hope that that resolves the problem.Adrian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Maybe a wire is pinched? Are both front and back doors not working on the right side? Decided to re-wire the fronts and rears, but left the doors alone. they do indeed look to ba a pita to rewire. The front doors seem possible, but good luch on those rears.But seriously, how you wire is going to depend a lot on what speakers you havy. Your HU will NOT support a 2 ohm load.
