TM850R
I dont have my '97 850 R manual and was wondering if/how I can turn the automatic sound control (I think its called) off. I like setting a certain volume and not having it loud at idle and driving down the highway blowing out my speakers. Can anyone tell me how to turn this off. Ill most likely be investing in a new HU over the summer if I cant turn it off. Thanks
connorb850
Push and hold the "CD" button until ASC in the LCD goes out.

REVolution T5
wow, for two years i thought there was something wrong with the volume knob cause the radio gets louder on the highway, i never knew my unit has automatic volume control and it's funny 'cause all of my friends were always wondering if they radio got louder by itself and i've been telling them it's probably screwed up so it gets louder when i accelerate lol
Guest Guest
Right after I posted this I went and took a ride in my car and started playing with the radio a bit. Figured it out on but since I searched for this and couldnt find anything about it, its better to have something about it on the forums. Yes ASC is worthless, it just pumps the volume to the point where the speakers get distorted...its a good idea if there wasnt such a drastic change in each volume notch.
