Vinyl On Paint...

I've got new VS logos and they are bigger than the ones i had on my 854. Also, they are bright silver, and my car is so dark (black wagon with 20% tints) that i don't want to disrupt that look.

My consideration is to put them on the side skirts near the rear wheel, or hell, maybe the fronts, but probbaly the rears.

Now, as cool as VS is, i may not want them on my car forever. Is it going to be the worlds biggest pain in the jerk (i acutally typed jerk) to remove them if i ever wanted to do so?

Thanks in advance!

I have a friend who used vinyl all over his '05 Equinox. He has a race team down here in Florida and changes sponsors every so often so he has to be able to take them off. Im sure you know the deal, wash the area then put it on. When you take it off you will want to wash and wax. The only problem I would see you having over a few years (or more) is the paint fading around the logo but that will take some time. Plus I think it would look tight if you had darker paint that said VolvoSpeed.

I used to have Vynal stickers on my accord. The paint was not in very good condition and it came off just fine. Unless you leave them on for years...you will be ok. And as for fading...sideskirts arent in direct sunlight anyways. It will be fine. I think it'll look sick !

Yea vinyl on paint shouldn not be a problem. Just make sure you wash and wax the area where you are applying them. That way when you have to take them of it will be easier. And also when taking them of, a heat gun and some goo gone or other adhesive remover makes the job even easier.

No razor blades on paint. The paint under the vinyl will end up in better condition than the paint around it, if applied for a long time. Heat gun (or hair dryer) is key to removal, then normally wax is fine to remove adhesive. Factory striping is a little different to remove, i.e. same concept but much more challenging.
