how soon in the us, applications? pricing?

1 week as stated above. But that date is not set in stone. I am waiting on lubricant that has been backordered. If it comes in by next week, great. If not, it will be longer. It is out of my hands.

Applications are as follows:

94-97 850 models (all)

98-00 S70 (all models with 2-bolt mounting only, not 4-bolt mounting)

98-00 V70 (all models with 2-bolt mounting only, not 4-bolt mounting)

98-04 C70 (all models with 2-bolt mounting only, not 4-bolt mounting)

*1994 sedans chassis #131537 and up, wagons chassis #37528 and up.

If your S/V/C70 has the 4-bolt mounts, then you will not be able to upgrade. This is only for the 2-bolt mounting style. There was no rhyme or reason from Volvo on the S/V/C70 as far as which one they installed. Some cars have the 2-bolt style, some have the 4-bolt style. You just have to peek under your car and see which one you have to figure out if you can upgrade. However, ALL 850s have the 2-bolt mounting style.

Here is a picture of the difference:

As far as price it has not been set in stone yet, but TENTATIVE VS hookup pricing is as follows:

~$60 for the just the bushing-only kit (includes bushings, lubricant, stainless steel shims, and detailed installation instructions).

~$275 for the full replacement kit (includes new arms, machined/painted ready to go, new hardware, lubricant, bushings, stainless steel shims, and detailed installation instructions).

Of course the bushings have a lifetime warranty as with all QBM products.

The control arms included in the full kit are VERY high quality and are made by the same company that makes the OEM arms. These are actually higher quality than OEM IMO. The ball joints are chromoly steel, the boots are special tear resistant rubber, ISO9002 certified, etc. Ignoring Scantech, 90% of control arm failures is the control arm bushings. Since the junk stock control arm bushings are being replaced with indestructable Delrin bushings, the arms included with the full kit should last a very long time.

The bushing-only kit is for those that have fairly new arms or their arms are in perfect shape as far as the ball joints. You remove your arms, press out the old stock bushings, install the new Delrin bushings, and reinstall. It's what Kirill did, and he said the install was cake (it really is). The bushing-only kit works for ALL brands of control arms, regardless of OEM or aftermarket. This is because Volvo set the specs on the bushings, and anyone who makes aftermarket replacement arms or bushings must follow Volvo's specifications. So no matter what brand of control arms you have, the bushings will work. And if you buy the bushing-only kit, and your existing arms eventually wear out, the QBM bushings will still work in whatever new arms you buy - just swap em right over to the new arms and keep on trucking.

I will post more info, pics etc next week when the kits are ready to ship.

You've already read mine and Kirill's comments. Once Florian gets back to Germany, he will post a full report of the bushings once he takes his race car on the Nurburgring. I already know what he's going to say though ;0)

Any questions are welcome in the mean time.

hmm interesting, sounds like a good price. IS that $60 shipped or plus shipping?

So these will be fine with regular street/everyday driving then? Just making sure, because, a lot of the BMw ones say to only use them for track cars.

Price is not set yet. That's all I am going to say.

Of course these are fine for street cars. Kirill drives on the street, so do I. In fact, these are RECOMMENDED for the street because of how much more control they give you as Kirill pointed out.

I have a set of BAW control arms that were sold to me by audicentral on ebay. THey have been ony my car for a while.

What is the best way to test the contol arm (ball joint) for problems? I have noise in the suspension, but I believe that is the spring seat, because it is more of a creaking/squeaking sound.
