Ivanfbi
so do 850s have to be factory alarm bypassed in order to use aftermarket alarm. I don't need remote start, and already have the alarm. I tried to research, but noone ever gave a clear answer. everything else shouldn't be very hard. AnthonyR
No.Our factory alarm arms and disarms on lock and unlock. So you will actually have both alarms co-existing pretty well. What year is your car? When I put the clifford on my car, my car ended up having 1-wire for lock/unlock/arm/disarm. It was green brown and needed a relay to interface locks with an aftermarket. Basically when the wire sees ground it unlocks and disarms, but when ground is cut and it goes to an open circuit (this also happens when you physically cut it) and the doors lock and the alarm is armed. However, I believe that was only on 95's, as the other 850's should have the more traditional 2-wire locks, but they still all arm/disarm with lock/unlock

boostjunkie
I have a viper 790 and did the same as Anthony, you just need to send a negative pluse to the factory alarmon arm/disarm and the factory alarm will still work :)
Ivanfbi
one more question, can you install the alarm and then later on add some of sensors, because i will have time tomorrow to install it, but don't have all sensors i want. Zappo
one more question, can you install the alarm and then later on add some of sensors, because i will have time tomorrow to install it, but don't have all sensors i want.I would assume most alarms would allow you to do this. How many you can add just depends on the alarm system itself.

AnthonyR
No idea on that one man. I'm pretty much only familiar with the DEI/Audiovoxx stuff. Try going to their website and looking at their sensors. Most companies make shock, glass break, proximity etc sensors. Also if you know which wires are what on your alarm brain you can usually use a DEI one with other alarms, I have done that in the past. Usually there is +12, ground, warn trigger and alarm trigger.
