It is my understanding you cannot buy just a motor, but a whole "cartride" which is the whole assembly. I could be wrong. But if I'm right, it is probably not the same because the door is so much larger.

Guest guest #2
the window motors are not the same on those two cars. The C70 has what is called a window cassette, that has the motor, cables, plastic pulleys etc. The replacement requires the transfer of your window to the new cassette. jem-c70
man....how come you guys do not register???givin the info, and we dont even know who you are...thanks I have a problem with my drivers side window.....theres a grinding sound when the window is lowered and sometimes the window will stick, i have to pull the window up.I removed the door panel to inspect the motor, since I've replaced several power window motors.I could not believe what i was looking at, steel cables and plastic pulleys to move a window up and down.I think volvo has MORONS in their designing and engineering dept.To fix the window will require a complete window REGULATOR ASSEMBLY.....$500 for the part and about $400 labor. There has got to be atleast 42 different adjustments on the thing! Good luck trying to change it yourself. :(
