Guest hlcptr
I occasionally get this display "dISC" on my 02 C70 on the information centre, in place of temperature or mileage numbers. It's rather intermittent, stays on for a few seconds, and then the info reappears. Anybody have an idea what that's about. Any opinions are appreciated. Kibim
It's the selector switch mechanism that's dirty or worn. Try some switch spray or replace it if you can. It's nothing serious, just the trip computer not understanding the switch position, so displays 'DISC' for disconnected.

VolvoGrrrr
How would you take the switch out of the dash to clean the contacts?
Kibim
How would you take the switch out of the dash to clean the contacts? With a flat screwdriver, prise one of the blank pannels away directly next to the switch, then put a finger or 2 into the gap, get 'em behind the switch and pull gently. They're just clipped in.
VolvoGrrrr
Cool. Thanks. Didn't want to mess up the dash by prying everything out.
