kenk
I thought there was something in the archives about oil lights flashing, and someone who had a failed oil pump, but i cant find it after searching for a bit....My oil light flashes for like 1-2 seconds after starting, (after all the other lights go out) usually only after the car has sat for at least 24 hours. I had this once before but that was when a nice guy mechanic used a non volvo oil filter without check valve, but swapping it out fixed that.the light started flashing after my most recent oil change, is this a sign of a oil pump going out....? Is it normal for the oil to drip down while the car is sitting? I thought the check valve fixed that..... could i jsut have a faulty check valve in my filter?thanks a Bunch!:-)kkames iowa. Bay13
Well I'd go with a new filter, use 10w30 weight oil, have the oil pressure checked to verify if there is in fact low pressure, then go from there.
