Jacob
Is it possable to fit the Pioneer Avic-D1 in an S40 with out any modifications? Or would I have to cut and glue stuff in? If it is seamless, I will probably go ahead and do it. Thanks all, JSD
NGB
Crutchfield does not show the D1 as fitting in the S40, although they say an N2 will fit with modifications.I'm sure you could make the D2 fit, but i'm not sure how much work it would be.Maybe Bing or someone who has a D1 could help you out more. Bing_0
you will most likely run into the same problems as the s70 series with the D1, meaning you will need to extensively modify the cavity, the cage, and find a way to secure it...have a good professional shop do it, though most likely at a very high cost b
Jacob
Nuts, why couldn't Volvo just stick to the Japanese standard for double din? ARG. Well if it isn't a direct swap, I'm not going to mess up my dash doing it. Thanks guys.
