Bing_0 Posted December 28, 2005 Report Share Posted December 28, 2005 just completed a set of kicks for a 1997 acura CL, not hte easiest car to do kicks in, but came out alright but i want to focus on the spekares that i put in them.new polk signature reference series 6.5" component coaxials (convertible)for the longest time, i never liked polk, similar to other big name brands, they seem to never sound as good as their price would lead you to believe.this new set though, polk got it right, there is a LOT of engineering in these pekares, including a set of ring radiator tweeters designed by no other than VIFA. the whole set retails for about 1000 bucks, whcih is desinged to compete with focal, morel, etc etc...and honestly, i think they sound just as good if not better than them.superb balance, center image, and detail, with not a trace of harshness...and a lot of tuning options in the crossovers, including four position tweeter setting and bi-amp capable...the whole thing just is very high quality through out so if anyone is looking for a set of high end speakers, definetly dont count these out!
