JESSEXC
Very easy about a 30 min job. I installed mine using the directions on this page about 2 years ago.850 Instrument Cluster removal Remove the clock and replace with the trip computer. Pop out one of the dash blanks. Replace with the trip computer switch and you are done. Good luck

MWvolvo850
I got it all installed! However, I left a smudge mark on the LCD display before I installed it... Guess I will wait for a panel light to burn out then clean off the smudge

GLT (Great Little Turbo)
I recently bought a trip computer and dash switch from a seller on ebay. The parts were from a 96 850. My car is a 97 GLT wagon that had only the clock/temp display unit. I just followed the cluster removal instructions on BAY 13 and it went in very easily and all functions seem to work fine. Only problem I've noticed is that the odometer on the computer is running about 10% ahead of the mechanical speedometer. So 10 miles on the computer reads as 9 on the speedometer. Is this normal? Which one is correct? TIP:If you are going to do any work on the cluster, best to have a good supply of both types of bulbs and just replace them all so you won't have to pull it all apart again for a while. I also recommend using a small bungee cord to hold the left end of the dash up out of the way. Clip it to the visor bracket.
