It powers up and so forth, but there is no sound coming from the speakers regardless if it is the radio or cd playing. Does this model require an amp to work properly? r850glt Posted May 19, 2004 Report Share Posted May 19, 2004 the Sc 900/901 requires an external Volvo amp to work, it is mounted right in front of heater core.
