Hey everybody new to the site, i have a 2000 v40 and while driving it the other day it started stalling out at low RPM's i was able to limp it home by keeping my foot on the accelerator while braking.

Any ideas what my issue is, when parked it will not idle on its own, as soon as i take my foot off the gas it dies.

PLEASE HELP

THANKS

Well welcome to the site.....as for your problem could be a couple things? But more than likely a large vacuum leak..if the car is a turbo you may want to inspect the intake charge hoses assuming you have no CEL ;)

If you cannot find a vacuum leak, try thoroughly cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner (get it in an aerosol can with a long nozzle to get right in there).

Repeat every 20,000 miles.

Good luck.
