tp_taylor
Seen these stabilizer/ground dist. kits on the Ebay for sale. Didn't know if they would really improve (especially a 5-8 hp gain)? Sounds really far fetched, but a good ground should improve the car electrics/ecu. Just wondering if a stabilizer is really worth it. Thoughts? Like a capacitor for your ECU/starter? Thanks for the non-lethal replies.
Mesoam
no, just redo all of your ground wires with some nice 4gauge wire
mAydAy
If they will actually stabilize the voltage it should help. Many of the EFI components use variances in voltage to meter and control different aspects of the engine. Different voltages will yield different results, so in theory, if you can stabilize the voltage you can stabilize and increase the overall accuracy of the fuel injection system by holding the baseline voltage for all sensors, senders, and everything constant, taking out another variable from the system. tp_taylor
I can def add a daisy-chained ground to my car myself. Got the wire and connections, just need time. That article indicated 9hp gain, just from a good ground? And I only got 4hp's from the lighted valve stem caps...So is that a "not worth it" for the voltage stabilizer?
