It happened again, yesterday, except that this time the CEL flashed and then stuck on. So I made an appointment with my Volvo shop to download the code. Except that when I started the car this time, to take it to the shop, there was no CEL. So for my question: is the code still there? MakGT Posted January 5, 2006 Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 Dont worry, your codes are stored until you clear them. Flashing CEL means major misfire, be careful. Buy a cheap scanner for less than $90, better than paying the dealer to just reset the light or read the code. The car then ran fine. Very well, in fact. It "felt" like a bad or clogged injector. I use an indy Vovo shop, my car hasn't been to the dealer for service since the warranty wore off!
