bbalicki Posted January 13, 2006 Report Share Posted January 13, 2006 I just searched the board for the problem I'm having with my locks - found many issues but none exactly like mine. I have a 2000 S80. When opening the driver's side door I intermittently get a buzzing/mechanical ratcheting sound coming out of the door. From what I've read on this board, it appears that this could be an issue with the locking mechanism or actuator. Did a quick search for the fix - it appears to be a pain on the C70, but I didn't see anything on the S80. Off the top of your head is this a DIY job for a person with reasonable capabilities?
