Jacob
Well, I finally got around to throwing the Roady in the S40... here is how it turned out. In the dash, kinda a perfect spot:Pretty blue:It uses the tape input, but I stealth ed the tape wire:The antenna is on the trunk, it follows the factory harness down then runs along the drivers side to the front of the car:Questions, Comments? Jacob
Looks quite stealthy alright. Clean setup...how is the reception?I have friends that put the antenna inside of the car and they now regret it due to reception problems, but my reception is amazing. I even get signal in my garage. Can you still get the tape out easily?Nope, the tape stays inside. there is enough spare wire for it to fully eject, however not enough for it to come all the way out. to get the tape fully out, i have to remove the head unit, remove the face plate with 2 screws + some clips, and pull it out that way. I don't listen to tapes anyway, so it is okay that it stays in there all the time - I would rather not see the wire.
NGB
It's too bad they designed the Roady with the connections on the side like that, so they are completely visible.Nice job on the install though, Antenna placement looks good too! :D
