Volvoson
That looks pretty snazzy George So, do the sensors just go onto the valve stem?
KS_R
i think they attach inside of the tire, if i understand how they work correctly.
George @ ViVA
Correct, they attach inside the valve stem. Really cool and useful.
Sinbad
Quick Q:Is the display a permanent fixture in the car, or could I buy 8 sensors and just put the display in whichever car I am driving that day?ThanksS

It would be a semi-permanent fixture in your car, as you can still remove it if need be, but not for how you described it...
JHEIII874T5M
These work out great on long trips! A friend of mine has one on his car and it has saved us a couple times from having to buy a new set of tires due to premature tire wear... due in part by low air pressure. How much is shipping to LA?Thanks!S
NataSS Inc
Hey George, I have a couple of questions for you. 1) How often do the sensors sample the air pressure?2) How EXACTLY do these attach to the rim? Are they held onto the rim (inside the tire) with a steel band or are they affixed some other way. 3) If connected directly to the valve stem, will they work with a short all metal valve stem?Reason I ask these questions, is if all the answers are what I am looking for I will seriously consider purchasing one of these for my ORR race car. Tire temps and pressures are the biggest thing we are concerned with (other than debris) when it comes to tire failures because of the speeds we are running and the length of time at those speeds.ThanksThanks for the answer That's a pity - I need it in the volvo cos of the speeds I do, and in the kia for when I've deflated the tyres for beach mode and need to drive on the road for a short distance...Though.... credit limit on my CC just got extended... That way you could "unplug" the sending unit and "plug" it back in, in the second vehicle.

Tire temps and pressures are the biggest thing we are concerned with (other than debris) when it comes to tire failures because of the speeds we are running and the length of time at those speeds.1) The display 'rotates' the detailed information for each tire every 4 seconds or so, but the sensors are continuously transmitting data. There are also warning alerts when the tire pressure and temp fall below/rise above a preset (or customized) reading.2) The sensors are 'screwed' into the provided valve stems. There is also a small double sided tape adhesive to secure it to the inside wheel surface. Each sensor weighs only 32grams.3) Since the sensors come with included valve stems, I cannot say for certain whether a shorter valve stem will work. The provided valve stems are all metal, not rubber. It sounds like the 3rd EYE TPMS system meets your criteria to monitor tire conditions.
